  2. Have you checked the pollen filter housing? When was the AC system last regasssed? Is there any water in the wheel well? Is there condensation on the inside of the vehicle when you get into it in the morning?

Thanks Steve, I've learnt something new. When I had mine changed I only had 2 working out of the 6. As you know the service interval it makes me wonder if it's been missed, and if so what else has been missed.
  4. Glad you did that 🙂

Glad it runs fine 🙂 the symptoms of failing glow plugs is that the car will struggle to start in cold mornings.

Could well be the glow plugs but I do find it odd in some ways they've all gone simultaneously.
  7. They're lovely cars. It'll be either 130 or 163bp. Check service history on when gearbox was last serviced as this is the Achilles heal in the mechanicals. Looks to be se spec. But if you contact Audi they should be able to provide you a build sheet.
  8. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 keep us posted on how you get on with your search and don't forget to check out buyers guides on YouTube.
  9. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the imobiliser
  10. Very nice. Would look good with the spoiler
  11. I agree, all black interiors can feel claustrophobic. You've definitely done the right thing.
  12. It makes me wonder if the waring springs have been fitted at some point or of poor quality which is why you've got issues. But even with front measurements they're not even either.
  13. It will have some sort of coding for security. But any replacement head unit can be coded.
  14. Looks a lovely car. You'll love it, the colour combo is great.
  15. Unfortunately with older Audi's it's a waiting game for the parts to pop up.
  16. No probs, please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  17. Unfortunately I don't think there is as it'll automatically come on. Unless you deactivate it via vcds.
  18. Keep us posted on how you get on
  19. Is it worth getting a second opinion at an Audi independent specialist?.
  20. I wonder if the switch is working properly?
  21. I'd recommend you get a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It could be an issue with the maf sensor, injector, injector seal, cam position sensor.
  22. Further research: Pun engine code was fitted to the 2.0tdi. Gearbox fitted with 3.0tdi was the oa3 gearbox which has two other codes: JHM kit (.56) uses 01E311362D and 01E311160D. The JMG transmission part numbers 0A3311352B and 0A2311362F which yield a .53 ratio. These JMG gears are less than half the price of the .56 gears.
  23. No probs at all
  24. Could be an issue with the gearbox itself.
  25. Have a look to see if Sach/Luk or darkside developments sell any aftermarket kits.
