  1. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 look forward to seeing some pics to help identify it but I'm sure it's a b7.
  2. Does sound more mechanical than electrical but you could get as diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. When was the gearbox last serviced? If it's the torque converter or clutch I'd get this sorted asap.
  3. Halogen will be h7 I think. But I'd suspect it's a bi xenon though.
  4. If you can dry the connectors and run off any corrosion then you should be ok.
  5. Glad you got sorted and it was a simple fix 🙂
  6. Fingers crossed for you
  7. I'm sure it's just clipped on. Whereas the one on the door itself is bonded to the car.
  8. There's different specs of mmi some that have Bluetooth, some that don't, etc.
  9. Yep could be engine mounts
  10. I'm not sure why to be honest but I'd suspect it's based on the engine outputs. One key thing to think is do you want one with 5,6 or 7 seats. Tech packs are very useful Check the mmi on the vehicle. As higher the better. Check service history. Mainly for proof of gearbox oil services and if it's had any work done the air suspension as that's the biggest problem with them.
  11. Yep needs the code. Should be In the service book/manual. Or if you contact certain eBay sellers that can get you the code off your radio serial number
  12. Try a genuine second hand one I'd say. Have you checked the rear wiper motor?
  13. I've been looking at the bilstein kit b12 kit. Which includes eibach springs and bilstein shocks. It ain't cheep though. Also height wise, if you've got loads of speed humps I wouldn't lower more than 40mm. Also is it worth considering the stock Audi sport suspension?
  14. No they won't be the same. The a8 weighs a lot more. I often find the cheap option is the worse option. They say buy cheap buy twice.
  15. I'd recommend a auto electrican to take a look at the wiring.
  16. I'd recommend you get it back to the garage for it to be assessed as they've got a duty to fix it FOC in the first 30 days after purchase
  17. Looks very nice 👍
  18. Glad you got sorted 🙂 the pdf might be too large to upload. If the pdf was found online then it might be easier to add the link.
  19. Glad you got the headlights out 🙂
  20. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  21. Hi max, yep I think you're right
  22. Changing a dash on a modern car is a nightmare due to wiring.
  23. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  24. Sounds a good plan. If you're needing genuine parts, you could try Audi tradition. They sell NOS Audi parts for older models. They're not cheap though.
