  7. It is a shame no others came. My show buddy Jack has emigrated to Norway who'd normally join us with his TT

That is impressive. I'll still be sticking with diesel for now though. My wife's Jag gets 50-55mpg which isn't bad.
  9. I agree with Cliff, the crash is most likely the cause.
  10. Really sorry I couldn't make it. Work and Audi off the road played a part in that. Really sorry it was just you two. Did Trevor come? If I can get an engine for my A6 or someone who actually knows what they're doing then hoping to get to it next year.
  11. Really glad you got it sorted 🙂
  12. Hi guys, unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make tomorrow due to last minute work commitments. Sorry for any inconvenience caused

Engine rebuild cost will be around £3.5k. Finding a second hand engine is the hard bit. I'm in the same boat trying to source an engine for mine.
  14. No probs.
  15. Thanks for the heads up Gareth 🙂

  17. You could see if main dealer can order the correct barrel. There will be a number on it. Another option could be to change all locks by buying a used lock set off eBay and getting it coded.
  18. You could alternatively get a remap which does an adblue delete? Would cost around £300-500 I think
  19. Did you swap the door module from the old door to the new door? As this might be part of the reason why central locking isn't working.

Just my two penn'orth worth, the damage can depend on the type of 2.5tdi. For example the version in my A6 (aym) if the belt snaps the pistons stop before wrecking the valves etc. Whereas the more refined versions (180bhp) such as bau can wreck the valves etc. as yours is a late model allroad I suspect the latter will be the case.
  21. As cliff says the battery could be the cause of the electrical issues. As failing batteries throw up electrical gremlins.
  22. A body shop would do it and probably expect to Psy £100-£150 at a guess. Here's a guide I did 6 years ago:
  23. Keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  24. I'd recommend you speak to an auto locksmith. If you go to Audi you'll be charged a fortune
  25. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up but could be an issue with the headlight switch or hazard switch.
