Hi, I have recently bought a 2004 A4 Avant. The car is fitted with the bose sound system and have a single slot CD player with radio. My question to you guys is, am i able to fit Audi's sat nav system straight in? I just feel like the gap that will be left once i remove the current system won't be large enough to accommodate the new. I hope that this all makes sense and would really appreciate an answer, with suggestions if it is an issue but there are ways around. Cheers in advance Charlie

Hi All, I have a A4 B8 3.0 TDI Quattro, It has the TPMS warning light on and Audi have said it is the Clutch Pedal Sensor. This is part of the Clutch Master Cylinder and needs replacing. Does anyone know of a DIY for this or has anyone attempted it before? I'm trying to avoid the £400 labour that Audi want to do this job. Cheers

Hello people of the forum :-) I have at the weekend become the proud owner of a rather sexy looking A4 so thought I would say hi and share a couple of pictures with you all :-) The car is a 1.9TDi (great economy, is better on fuel than my little work car - peugeot 106 1L) although it looks far from being a diesel! Being a 1st time Audi owner I can't say I know much about them, so am going by what i was told when i bought the car, and what I can spot myself. The car has: RS4 bodykit JE Designs rear spoiler Coilovers all round factory upgraded dash to include trip computer concert / bose sound system carbon door mirror covers HID headlights full stainless steel twin exhaust from the manifold KEI alloys tinted rear lights As you will see in the photos, she is 1 tasty looking car! I have a few issues that need sorting out, 1st and foremost being that the clutch is on its last legs, so will be having that and the dual mass flywheel done very soon, and have been quoted circa the £570 mark (using LUK clutch parts) if anybody knows of anywhere bristol based that can better this price please let me know. Was told that the cambelt was done around 20k ago, but there isn't any paperwork to back this up so I will probably get this done as well as a service, just to be on the safe side, have been told by someone at work that I should expect this to be around £300, does that sound about right? after the mechanical work has been done I shall then be turning my attention to its looks, the front bumper/splitter has a fair amount of damage to it from being caught on a kerb at some point, as well as a nice dent from some considerate !Removed! with a towbar. I shall probably heat the towbar dent bk out as smooth as possible, repair any cracks from the kerb damage, then the most likely option at the moment is to carbon vinyl wrap the front end (splitter and bonnet) another mod I intend on doing sooner rather than later is to retrofit cruise control on the car as i cover a fairly high number of motorway miles, and cruise control is quite an essential for me. Have seen retrofit kits on fleabay that are around the £100 price range that includes the bottom trim for the steering column, so my question is this, anybody have any experience in fitting 1 of these kits that has any advice or knows of things to look out for? My brother has also suggested that I should replace the existing climate control panel for the newer type as its much better looking, and seeing as the current panel is heavily worn on the buttons, I'm thinking this is a good idea, but have no idea as to whether this is a fairly easy task or not, or if the newer type console is even compatible or not? Quite a few questions in there I know, but thought these forums are bound to be the best place for me to get my answers :-)

checked re gassing, put pressure Guage on started engine ect put on low temp but guage is reading 55psi so no gas required according to chart so there is another fault can anyone help,

Hi, I am currently looking for a 2008-2010 Audi A4 Avant.... not too worried if 2.0 diesel or petrol but would prefer the S Line or Limited Edition. What are the big things i should check please? i've noticed several adverts saying they have had water pumps changed which on a fairly newish car seems a little worrying... Not worried about recalls as i can check with Audi whats outstanding when i get one more worried about anything costly that could result in even more expense if not done :/ Thanks in advance for any tips :) Cant wait to get one

I now this stuff is notorious for peeling and at the moment its seen better days. Is there a good way of removing it from the plastic handles, trim sides etc. without damaging the plastic underneath. Its possible that I might find replacement parts for the scratched ones but the same thing is just going to happen again & again. If you know what I'm on about, Please give suggestions. Cheers James

hey all. i've owned the car for about a year and do enjoy it immensely, although i am sometimes frustrated by a lack of power, but this should change with a remap coming soon (see below). I love the build quality of the audi, my ex had a bmw and i thought that was a well made car until i bought this! despite my gripes at the lack of power (mainly brought on by owning faster cars and my mates having scoobies) the car is quick, i always like to remind my mates that from A to B, especially around where I live in the Scottish Borders it's just as quick as their jap beasts, and immensely more comfortable! The main reason I went 2 grand over my budget and bought this car was that it was a quattro and I love how planted the car feels in both the dry and wet! that being said the body roll at speed can be too much sometimes. The only negative I can say with the quattro is the real-life MPG figures aren't impressive. I do have a heavy right foot from time to time but on a 6 month average of everyday driving (social and domestic use only Mr Insurance) i returned 33.3 MPG. The car currently is running on Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres, and is completely standard with no notable factory optional extras fitted. Anyway that's enough of boring things like fuel economy. I have attached all the photos I've managed to take in a year of ownership (pretty pathetic amount tbh). I don't have the private plate on the car anymore that is my exes. What I want to do: This is where you guys come in. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do to the car, but the application of the idea is where I ain't so great! Below is a list of "mods" (hate that word I feel like 17yr old boyracer even typing it!) I want to do to the car - any additions, subtractions or general comments would be much appreciated on them!! Alloy refurb and colour change to either graphite or shadow chrome Lowered on coilovers [not sure as to 40 or 60 drop and reputable brands, any ideas????] I've read about RS4 anti roll bars being a good upgrade - any ideas? Uprated brakes - i've done no research on this any ideas? R8 style LED headlights LED rear lights LED fog light cluster Exhaust system [again any ideas here guys and gals????] Performance Air filter [brands etc???] Remap (hoping for 205-215bhp) Button Start (this is mainly cos i have a blank button missing next to the TCS button and thought it would be more interesting that putting a blank in) Blue tint interior light replacement Auto-folding wing mirrors Cruise Control Double din head unit with reversing camera [brands?] I don't for one minute think I am going to get all of these done as my time isn't always free and my pockets aren't bottomless, but in an ideal world this is what I would have.

Hello all, I am a new member, and am about to purchase my 2nd Audi. I'm buying a 3.0L A4 Quattro Convertible, 2004 54 plate, which in general is in pretty good nick. However, the carpet on the drivers side has been badly worn, and has a hole in it, which is pretty unsightly! I know that I can just buy car mats and put one over the hole, but I will still know its there, so I was wondering if any of you guys know where I could get the carpet repaired? Would it be an expensive task, or should I just stick with a car mat? Any advice welcome :-)

I have a 2003 Audi A4 convertible with standard 16inch alloys. How big can I go without spoiling the ride/handling? I don't really want to change anything else apart from the wheels though, so not bothered about too large. I was thinking maybe 17/18inch? Any help would be appreciated from anyone that has gone bigger.

Hi Guys, Needed some help and advice. I hadnt tried my convertible roof for a few months now, since then i had the whole left side of my car painted (3 panels which were removed and painted from car plus bumper). I hadn't checked the roof opening/closing before and after the car returned! When i recently tried to open it, the roof opened fully. I drove around for a while and when i got to the park, i tried closing it, and thats when it wouldn't close. I could hear the hydraulics trying to close it but back panel only opened slightly and wouldn't go further. I closed it manually. The next day i tried openeing it again with button and now every time, it unlocks the roof and raises an inch but doesn't go further! I tried a manual reset by: Turning the car off, then manually opening roof and closing roof. Started car up again and tried and still nothing worked! This sums up what is currently happening: 1. if i turn car on i get flashing roof light. Which goes after a few minutes. 2. press the 'roof down' button, windows go down, roof dis-engages then stops after one inch. Storage compartment does not open. 3. Have to press roof button again to close it. Thanks, Nads

Hi all I am new to the Audi forum, I own a 2001 A3 and am looking to upgrade to a newer A4 and was just after some buying tips such as models/specs etc. I have a budget of about £5k and would prefer diesel and the 170bhp models other than that I am open to advice?!

Wondering if anyone can help. I have a 2003 A4 1.9 TDI SPORT QUATTRO (GMBH) and the instrument cluster is not working. I am looking to see if anyone has come across this fault where only the temp and fuel gauge work. The part no is 8E0 820 981. If anyone has come across this problem or can help please let me know.
