  3. So could be the key then. Have you got a spare?
  4. Colin. I have merged your two topics. It keeps things tidy.
  5. @Magnet All monthly plans are on the Audi site. https://customer.vwfs.co.uk/service-plans/audi.html?traci_c=UK|SI|GA|S|AUDI:DM-P:&traci_s=SI:AUDI:SEA:Google:SearchAd:2023-01:&traci_ee=19596460443:146596466618:645967750295::::&traci_t=audi service plan:e::&s_kwcid=AL!10901!3!645967750295!e!!g!!audi service plan&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19596460443&gbraid=0AAAAAoaLYNOzJR_hMM5mpP3XlWvNIY98q&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvajDBhCNARIsAEE29WruACJdkBiN3UYtDG8ztpgHN4AN-1WdhB2fjwLrz1bSsB3byTcHGkwaAvtIEALw_wcB

  7. Thanks Gareth, I had the connector under the driver's see replaced just last year. That's why I thought I might have caused it disconnecting and reconnecting the door motor. Will try the spray as you suggest. Will also ask the local garage to run a fault diagnostic.
  8. Update- I seem to have fixed this issue by resetting the MMI- so far so good.
  9. Suspect the plastic lever is on the underside of that electrical connector, normally press the tab and pull the plug at the same time. You can use a flathead screwdriver against the side of the expansion tank and the sensor and tease it out. Don鈥檛 use force. More details here.
  10. Any update for us Ed?
  11. Even the Audi part is reputed to be unreliable so it's possible your new one is faulty, in which case it would be unwise to drive the car until it goes to a garage. However I think it is more likely to be a failing battery as Steve Q mentioned because of the stop/start fault. Let's hope the diagnosis shows something.
  12. Hi All, is there a good cheap source for rear Jack inserts as they seem quite pricey direct from Audi?
  13. Hi it looks like my connectors that connect to fuel filter are broke, anyone point me in right direction where I can get new ones?
  14. AlexR - unfortunately it's nothing to do with a recall and never will be safety related, despite cars stopping in live lanes etc. Glad your dealer and Audi played ball. There are lots of people who haven't been that lucky. Audi have been in damage limitation mode.
  15. Thanks Allan, Wondering if 8mm ID fuel hose might do - make sure it's S.A.E J30 R9 ( the R9 higher pressure rating is important ). I understand the well respected Gates now do a braided version, so well worth searching that out. Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.

  18. You're welcome 馃檪
  19. Hi everyone, I do not have a specific budget, but am just starting down this road. I have looked at prices on Autotrader, EBay and on here to get some ideas. I would guess 拢3k to 拢5k but let鈥檚 see what is out there please.
  20. Hi, my mmi is playing up, did the one you order work as plug and play? Just trying to figure out my options, mark
  21. Hi Pipe I think is about 38mm. Have found this on ebay 296994527233 The seller does'nt know what its made from and not interested in finding out (strange man) For 拢40 one would think metal of some sort as the plastic ones are about a tenner
  22. It is getting increasingly difficult to help you Gerry. Any reason why you can鈥檛 post a copy of what you have?
  23. Hi Bob, did you manage to sell your car? If not, can you confirm which engine it is and any known faults/issues. thanks richard
  24. Thanks Doug, I have emailed the letter directly to Audi UK, but as you went through your local dealer and they honoured it I think i'll also send them one for good measure. Thanks
  25. Thanks Cliff, There are a lot of factors to consider. There are pros too. I'll do some more research.
  26. This thread should help:
  27. So, I took the car out for an eight or nine-mile trip today - to get some breakfast... ...which was very pleasant. On the way home, in addition to the DPF light (which had been on from the get-go), I got the flashing glow-plug light, shortly followed by the check engine light. The triumvirate of misery... 鈽癸笍 When I got home, I plugged Carly in, and after 20 minutes or so, got the following result: The Smart Mechanic says: ...and goes on to say... So, it doesn't tell me much more than the light on the dash. My DPF is clogged and isn't re-genning as it should. No clue as to why... 馃 It mentions a control unit - anyone know what/where this is please? Thanks, Mike 馃槑
