Car is a pile of junk, gone to go out and showing 24 faults.
So part arrived quicker then the dealer planned, car has been dropped back and now have new issues that were not there before the car went wrong. New issues: Car is not recognised on the Octopus Go app and will not charge on the Hypervolt, did not have this issue before, have deleted the car from Octopus and re-setup the car and it still says no car plugged in. My profile has gone, could not add me so had to delete my profile from the car, app and and online and re-do, car now sees my profile. App is reporting incorrect battery levels of the car, this was also doing this before the delete and re-install but still does not show the right battery level, the app is talking to the car as I can open and close does, sound horn etc from the app but the battery level is wrong. Drivers side door central locking not always opening. I also tried plugging the car into a RolecEV charger in a car park and that reports no car connected. Anyone got any thoughts as it looks like the car is going back to the dealer?

A3 uncommanded engine shutdown
Hi, Thank you for your response. I saw this thread whilst researching before I posted my own. I’m not convinced I have an alternator problem. In my case it is the engine which suddenly died whilst under way. There were no abnormal indications at all on the dash and there’s no evidence of any event in the diagnostics record. In my opinion that indicates that the engine behaved correctly in response to its inputs (so nothing to report) but possibly one of those inputs was erroneous. The dealer is unable, or unwilling, to troubleshoot the matter.

Alternator failure related to mild hybrid system?
I totally agree with everything you have said, for me its not about the money, its about Audi taking their customers for a ride and not in a good way. If you need any help please let me know I am going to carry on with my little battle with Audi UK and I shall be keeping everyone here updated

New 226 audi q3
I jump in my sq5 , start it up , press to start the mmi. Then drive it . No faff , no fuss , it's been faultless , even with Audi sense activated. Think maybe OCD is the issue here . ☺️

Audi A4 B9 Avant 2016 TDI > Brake pad wear sensor message
Hi can anyone help with this. I'm looking to code out the 'brake pad' wear limit reached message on dash. I managed to eliminate the orange brake light symbol when the message appears along with the audible by changing the long coding on VCDS but does anyone know where i can delete the message aswell on VCDS? New pads & discs fitted and also new genuine brake wear sensors but there seems to be that there might be a fault somewhere so im looking to de code it completley. See picture below of message and red warning light

Recall for Pretentioner / Seat belt 2026 model Q5
ThankQ for the prompt response, it was my local dealer that actually called me, I had my car booked in for the Recall work to be carried out (it was my Audi connect Phone App that actually notified me of the recall in the first instance ), my dealer called me to say the Recall was “recalled” by Audi, cancelled my booking and said if things change they will call me… that’s why I was interested to know if anyone actually did get the recall work carried out

- Are S5's notorious for not being serviced?
I have pointed you in one possible direction, so it is now time to do your own research. There is endless information available if you are really interested, but somehow I don't believe you are. I am withdrawing from this discussion.- C5 RS6 034 strut top mount
Thanks I will have a look at the coilovers and make a decision, I believe the brand is mts techniq and just a coilover replacement for the original drc setup. I'm looking at swapping them for a set of bilsteins at some point. As for the arms and suspension bushes everything is either new oem or poly bushed. Apart from the strut tops which need replacing. Many thanks Pete- Help with some issues

- A% front suspension groan
On multi-link suspension, start with the cheap stuff first and then progress. The lower arms are likely hydrabushes, so they leak when they fail. I changed mine at 65k on a 17 plate A4 Allroad. Lemforder is OE specification. Also check the ARB bushes on the sway bar. Next the ARB link, then finally the top arms. Top arms when they go, will knock. They are usually visible if you hold and 10-2 position and try lateral movement. The only thing left is the top mounts and the bump stops on the suspension shock. If you're changing anything, then always do both sides. Lemforder and Meyle HD, that's all I'd fit. Given the state of our roads - also look at the coil springs too. you can drop an inch and not even know about it. Not sure with A5, but on A4 Avant, the rear spring seat/bush corrodes from inside out, so although cheap from Audi, you're looking at labour to fit unless you're spanner handy. I did it myself so as not to disturb eccentric bolt. If I was doing it again, I would just mark then remove that bolt. This is complicated further if its quattro drive. Car will need alignment check afterwards.- Any ideas on what this sound could be? Audi A3 8P
Hi all does anyone have any idea on what this distinct tapping noise could be? had the rocker arms, lifters, injectors and all cam followers replaced and is still present. Noise is at idle and speeds up with acceleration and can hear it inside doesn't affect performance. Been advised by three separate mechanics its not bottom end so at my wits end really, any thoughts appreciated. Thanks a7bcf128-5947-4002-afba-29c811dd5d88 (1).mp4- Does anyone know what this high pitched noise is?
I bought a 2nd hand A1 TDI from a garage in Plymouth. It too had the same high pitched squeal which sounded louder from the rear right of the car, both inside and outside. We took our car to a local, trusted workshop for a service & they identified the engine bay fuel filter canister had never been replaced in its 75k history, despite the service history showing complete. A new filter was fitted and 10k later the car continues to run smoothly and quietly.- A6 2018 C8 3.0tdi quattro drivers mirror indicator
Hi, For what it's worth; I was lucky enough to have the Technology Pack on the A6 I bought, so I have the LED Matrix headlights and dynamic indicators on the front... I found some side (mirror) repeaters on eBay that were also 'dynamic' and had tinted plastic lenses so look black, like the rest of the car/mirror, until lit... And then the lights 'sweeps' outward in sequence like the indicators both front and rear. Cost me £30 for the pair, fitting is exactly as listed above, and they're still good 5 years later. Took the 'chinese knock-off gamble' and won, in this case. Hope yours are as easy as mine were to fit. Best Regards, Tigger- S-Line suspension change

Steve ·"The Digestive" Weekly roundup 24th May - 31st May 2026 As we close out May, this week’s forum activity has been buzzing with discussions spanning from technical woes to exciting projects. Let’s take a closer look at what’s been happening across our Audi models! The Audi A4 (B9) Forum saw a particularly lively topic regarding a 'brake servo restricted' warning that a few members, including Stevie84 and A-D, have been grappling with. The general consensus is that this may be linked to sensor faul
