  4. Thanks for the reply, Audi technical recently resolved this for me, not sure what they did as they did not give me anything apart from ‘Our technical support team have made an adjustment’ I then connected to the car again and the apps were then available to purchase again. Thanks for the suggestion and I did try a second device but with the same error.
  5. Try LLL parts You can get the inserts on eBay too. For the other readers, they are held in at the back with a small plastic clip and if you use a trolley jack and don’t line it up correctly the insert will pull out and damage the clip. Then they wobble and fall out.
  6. It would help to know the mileage on the vehicle mate. The pads should do about 70k miles. Discs twice that.
  7. So much for the promises of updates that might help others in the same position as Wayne.
  8. Personally I would change them. The old oil will give you a chance to detect metal particles, while if it is clean you will have only lost the cost of the oil. Nobody ever had a breakdown as a result of changing oil too often.
  9. Hi I would from these figures assume the battery is well on its way anything below 85% SOC and with availability of 25AH is definitely wrong, how old is the battery? Steve.
  10. Hi Folks, I have a 2019 Audi A4 B9 with the following NMI software: MHS2_ER_AU_P2035 0235 Navigation database V03959802LD 0038 ECE 2019 Media driver DEV_MCM_AU_ER_G21_045P… Could someone tell me if there is a later update for my vehicle? Not too worried about the maps as I use Google Maps. If so, where is the best place to get the update from? Audi dealer? NMIUPDATES.COM? Would appreciate any advice in this area. Thank you for your help. Kind regards Paddy UK
  11. Hi all, Hope everyone is well.. i have had a problem over the past week with my a3 2.0 tdi sportback. To cut a long story short, drove out to bath for an appointment, had the appointment and got back into the car to notice it wouldnt start first time. After several attempts and long cranks it started but seemed to be running lumpy on idle. Any suggestions please to what this could be?? Mileage is 94000. Many thanks.
  12. Hi I just changed battery on my a4. I have put in a bosch battery without BEM Code. I programmed it with mucar tester, where I just changed the 3 last numbers. When i try to change the clock in the dash, a lot of fault coming i the dash, when the computer have shown all the failures, they Are gone, and Will first Come back when i push the SET button Again.... It comes with a faulure l2 4/4 at the trip spot. See picture I have tried to remove the minus for 10 minutter, and delete the failures with odb. But the failure keeps coming...... What to do?
  13. this sounds like one of the flap actuators. I’ve had 2 audi a3’s and both have had this issue. Very annoying problem. If you have an obd 11, give it a scan and it should tell you if your flap motor is bad.
  14. Hi just try a gearbox reset that may well help with this, having the DPF cleaned won't affect the gearbox, normally after a gearbox service they do a reset so all the mechatronics can relearn its values. Steve.

  16. Fair enough Chris. I needed to make sure. I can't help regarding an upgraded clutch, but if professionals (if that is what Unicorn are,) recommend a standard unit I would go with that. If the original standard clutch has lasted 16 years it has done well, so a similar replacement should last the realistic lifetime of the car.
  17. A pity you did not mention that earlier to save wasting our time. Error codes always have to be interpreted in the light of experience, rather than taken literally. So it was not flippancy to ask for them as you wrongly assumed, rather it was an attempt to get some of the basic information which you initially failed to provide. In view of your attitude I shall not add any more to this discussion, even though I have a strong suspicion about the cause of the problem. Good luck.
  18. Sorry, yes, there was a good reason I didn’t return to the forum…I sold my A3 shortly after, as a result of not being able to resolve this issue and a few other problems I was having. Main dealer tried multiple times, and recommended I try a third party auto electrician. My suspicion was a weak/broken DAB antenna, as I assumed the GPS signal was also received through that. Or a software issue. Figured the main dealer would have caught both of those issues, though, so I really don’t know. Sorry I can’t be of any help, Dan. It’s put me off of VAG cars completely, after only driving them for 20 odd years.
  19. Following the sale of our A3, I have a pair of new Febi curved rear suspension link arms (not handed) for sale. These fit a range of years, and models, from A1 to Q3 and even TTs. Cheapest prices on EBay for non Febi are around £23 each. £25 + p&p will be accepted for the pair, and I will throw in a set new anti roll bar rubber bushes and saddles - current price £17.50. Curved rear links arms are Febi 32543. Anti roll bar kit is Febi 23606. These will also fit many Skodas, Seat and VW models. Please check EBay for suitability for your car. Please PM me if interested. Regards, Gareth.
  20. Well you would say that wouldn't you. You may not even be aware of possible malware, so sorry again, but I am not going to watch it. I suggest a decent photograph uploaded to the forum with your reply. The forum software will eliminate most nasties or prevent uploading.

  24. Now free to anyone who can collect, if not they will be going in the scrap pile.
  25. The car will be on standalone engine management, so the fuel pump will be run from the ecu via fuel pump relay, so a lot neater. Everything has been taken out so far, even the door wiring as its going fully stripped. More progress in the near future once parts arrive.
  26. Since this is totally manual work, there is no equipment to show, but here is video link of testing it: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/tlhkDMtlmtA You will find more videod there.
  27. A chassis or steering misalignment will make the car unsafe to drive, so you really should care about it. Presumably NZ has some sort of compulsory road worthiness test? If it is anything like ours the car could fail the test.
  28. Sounds very much like an internal amplifier issue to me. We see quite a few Audis with exactly the same symptoms. Amps has to be resoldered correct way
  29. Thanks to all for taking the time to reply to my post its much appreciated. I do not know how accurate this snippet of information an Audi technican told me but here goes The electric fuel pump is designed to be submerged in fuel to help cooling issues so even when 0 miles is showing there can still be as much as 7 litres still in the tank. Also apparently in Germany running out of fuel on the Autobahn is an offence so this also allows the driver some 60 miles to refill should the car say 0 miles. Either way thanks all at least I know Ive not been short changed with a smaller fuel tank!!
