  2. And spoke too soon. Error light is back. Throttle/pedal position sensor/switch "B" circuit range/performance Aaaaaargh
  3. Hi Rybrook. So that light is on all the time and ESP will not do anything, so what are you recommending to get the light off, replace abs sensors on every wheel?

  5. Thanks James, and what price will you be asking for it - as opposed to offers? Kind regards, Gareth.
  6. Thanks Stephen, How many services has it had at Audi during its 15 years, and has it been garaged throughout its life? Engine capacity? Kind regards, Gareth.
  7. Could it be the maf sensor, cam sensors or crank sensor?
  8. Hello Ani, Natalie hasn’t returned to the forum for over two years, so be prepared for not receiving a response. Personally, I don’t feel that this is a question of ‘has anyone else had this issue and had it resolved?’ It’s far too serious for that to be a major factor - your concern is that you get this fully resolved with a minimum of delay. If I understand it correctly in your case, this amounts to a genuine case of endangering life. Have you contacted (and subsequently written to) Audi Customer Services to formally record this issue. You would be advised to formally record this issue (in writing) with the repairing dealer. Consider notifying both that you wish to reject the vehicle. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
  9. Hi, I bought an Audi A4 this Feb which came with start issues (at least I believe so). It's been with the dealership 3 times now, first time they changed glow plugs but it didn't make any difference. Second time they checked injectors and two were faulty so they replaced them together with sealings, also replaced fuel filter, I took the car back and it was still the same. Third time they changed/rebuilt both low and high pressure fuel pumps, still no improvements. I am being told now that it's normal for those engines to take this long to start which I have hard time believing. I've been also told to use premium diesel but again, I can't believe it would be causing those issues. My question really is, is there something wrong with the car or it really is supposed to start this long? I've recorded recent car starts: https://photos.app.goo.gl/YPoYpoyEqJiBjvjFA - those are after injectors change https://photos.app.goo.gl/wSGozzUbbwXn9LqQ8 - those are latest ones, after all changes This also happens if I drive with start-stop: - if the car is turned off for <1s it will start back after one or two cranks - if the car is turned off for 2-3s it will need like 3-5 cranks - if its off for longer than that it starts again in 2-5 second mark I found couple of similar/same engines on YT and they seem to start much better, like any other car would e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWsD_cAxpcw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MerRi6NkXy8 Car info: A4 Avant SPORT TDI QUATTRO S-A 2018, 3L diesel, 218 HP, 74k mileage.

  11. Hello Adrian, Just another (general) consideration on mileage. Your car has covered c4K miles/a - a low usage, which comes with its own disadvantages. Most low mileage cars cover that mileage via. short trips, where the car generally barely gets up to optimum opperating conditions, and where wear is at a maximum, compared to a fully warmed up vehicle travelling long distances under motorway conditions. Kind regards, Gareth.
  12. You're welcome. I agree with Gareth there won't be any comeback.
  13. Hi get a swirl flap delete kit, loads on the internet. Steve.
  14. Hi everyone, for those who stumble on this post, maybe this will help. This is possible wheel and tyre sizes for A6 C7 4G: 225/60 R16 225/55 R17 225/45 R18 225/50 R18 245/35 R18 245/45 R18 255/45 R18 245/45 R19 255/40 R19 245/35 R20 255/35 R20 And one thing in addition ... when going on 19 and 20 inch wheels, there must be intake fuel pipe protection aluminum cover mounted and grounded to the chassis. At least that is the case on MOT checks in Germany and Croatia. There is a picture on this site: https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/tankschutzblech-bei-radgroessen-ab-19-zoll-t5922979.html?page=16
  15. Hi in three days anything up to 1 volt would be acceptable furthermore I can't find any logic in the statement that changing the timing belt would have any effect on the Adblue system as they couldn't be further away from each other, same as the earth from the moon, all dealers are the same but Audi taught the rest of the trade when it comes to being inventive when getting work in, the only parasitic drain with that lot will be on your wallet, now you have a new battery see how it goes, your mechanic sounds like a good guy. Steve.
  16. Also my current A4 B8 seats are manual adjustable with only the lumbar support electric adjustable
  17. Hi All I bought a 2011 A7 a month ago and all been well except the last two mornings gone to press stop start its shown up message and cut out Reset then tried again and all fine no driving issues Changed key fob battery as had in the other day just to check for codes fir peace of mind and it said low but nothing else in codes Could it possibly be the stop start not being pushed for long enough trying to eliminate any minors before it gets coolant valve checked ad this seems a usual problem Mant thanks for any input
  18. The photos are for the rear right, ignore the grey arch panel part. Where my hand is on the bottom of the arch is where the clip is broken, I think there is a hook type clip that fits into a square hole on the part that's fixed to the body( black section ) plus another clip is missing from the top of the arch. I'm only guessing but that is what Audi have said. They said it needs a new arch which then needs painting.
  19. Thanks Allan. As with all ‘comparison tests’, the question which needs to be asked is -who is funding/sponsoring the test? My comments were really aimed at a better understanding of the much-used, and disliked, broad brush term ‘ditch finder’. I think anyone who fits budget tyres to a vehicle which they drive enthusiastically is indeed taking a higher risk than they would by buying well researched premium grades. However, if your diving style is not-getting-anywhere-in-a-hurry, then I wouldn’t automatically dismiss all budget tyres. My point which might have been helpful to other members who drive as the last paragraph is that, of budget brands, Accelera has given me all round satisfaction for my requirements. Kind regards, Gareth.
  20. Last week
  21. No probs at all. I fully appreciate why you want to. Best way To do it is with a hairdryer/heat gun and fishing wire between the badge and boot once glue heated up.
  22. Sorry. I have one on each side window boot area (avant) and one below the rear number plate
  23. Hi, no, I'm saying I got it FOC from a trusted source.
  24. My 2018 RS5 as started displaying the sports differential fault. It doesn’t display whilst running in comfort mode but the warning appears when in dynamic. I have the car booked in for a diagnostic check next week. As anyone else had this same issue?
