Which of the new Audi A5 models feature MHEV ?
Steve Q replied to georgepamak's topic in Audi A5 Club
No probs. As I say I went off what's for sake currently on autotrader. And all the ones with 204ps aren't listed as hybrid. But looking at Derek's comment it looks like I could be wrong as he has first hand experience of the A5. -

Which of the new Audi A5 models feature MHEV ?

I have a 2024 A4 204ps petrol and it has mild hybrid so I'd be surprised if they hadn't carried it over to the new car. If you've had an Audi with mild hybrid in the past then it looks like they've made the energy recovery greater in the newer models. In my 2022 A5 coupe I could feel the car slowing slightly with it when I took my foot off the throttle but that effect is greatly exaggerated in the newer ones. It's not a bad thing, it's just getting used to it. I generally don't brake unless I have to slow down suddenly or for junctions so it took a while to get used to it kicking in. Especially when it decides instead to put the car into neutral and let it coast. I imagine that it's closer to how EVs behave with their energy recovery -

Loss of power - turbo? EGR? sensor? please help
Steve Q replied to Gibson2913's topic in Audi A4 (B8) Forum
Sorry to hear of your situation and for the delayed reply. p0299 indicates turbo under boost. Before writing off the turbo if get your mechanic to check the turbo pipes, as over time these can perish and where they attach to the turbo they can let sir through when under pressure but would look fine when not under pressure if that makes sense. Your second fault code 05171 supports my theory as it implies a boost leak from a pipe or similar. -
Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 yep it can be changed. You're probably best going for an aftermarket apple car play/android auto set up. You can buy these online.
-
Definitely worth a shot but I'd still recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up for the dpf. You could look at having it professionally cleaned but this may only buy you time.

Sorry you have felt the forum has been unhelpful. This seems to have all stemmed from a lack of information in the car you advertised. As your membership is free, there isn't a full need to cancel.

Roger. You are still showing as a member now at 22.48 so you can not have cancelled. As I mentioned before we can not do it for you, but I know it is possible because previous members have done so. -
Have you had the suspension checked for loose joints? It may be that the undercarriage is the source of the noise rather than the tyres?
-
Somewhere in one of the menus there should be an option to reset the standard or baseline setting. Don't ask me where as I don't know the A8.

Why not ask Audi? -
i have insulated the total floor and also the plastic wheel arch covers with noise deadening sheets, also undersealed the wheel arches, and covered the boot, but it is still loud, ,when i drive on a good piece of road it is great / hit a rough part of road it is terrible , i must say for an upmarket car brand they have not thought of noise comfort , for all the gadgets and style this car has , it is a poor show for audi,. i am verey disappointed in the car because of this . reading on other forums, by changing wheels to 16" ones seems to reduce the noise , so thank you for all your help i will let you know if and when i change them how i got on cheers

Hi TPMS seems to have got itself stuck with the front tyres, inflated to 2.6 bar but the TPMS is registering 2.7 O/S AND 3.8 N/S. It does change so it’s not "stuck" but the baseline seems to have gone awry. it’s a recent problem since the hot weather (coincidence?) Initialising the system doesn’t seem to correct it. The rear tyres register fine at 2.4 bar. It’s just an annoyance with the ‘beep’. Is there a sensor in each wheel that needs replacing ? Thinking just wait and see until normal weather returns. anyone experienced this before with their TPMS? Marty

It’s all to do with reciprocal attitudes Roger. Life can be easy, but…..

Thanks for your reply. I just read the review in carwow and I think they imply that all new A5 models are mild-hybrid. Don't really know what to believe here. -
I don't have a multimeter, but the OH may have one I can steal borrow. Otherwise I can pick one up easily enough. Instructions state to select a fuse associated with a function which can only be used when the ignition is on - usually cig lighter/heated seats etc. Can't be more than a 20amp fuse. Already found the bottom 20amp fuse is for my cig lighter/12v socket, so that should be fine. Did try some other fuses though when it didn't work, but still no luck. Didn't have the spade (negative) connected to the bodywork every time though (was just holding it), but not sure if that is the reason it won't work - if I could work out where to feed it to out of the glovebox and what to screw it to then I could rule that out...

Update in regards to my situation. Replaced the sensor with part from AUDI, and not triggering error message anymore. No need for coding either.
