Hi, I have a 2009 Audi A6 Avant TDI with a gearbox code LDQ. I'm experiencing a problem: in second gear, the gearbox jerks and judders violently when I accelerate. Once I reach around 40 or 50 mph, it smooths out, but at lower speeds, the jerking is really noticeable, even audible from the sidewalk. I recently tried to replace the gearbox, but the seller failed to mention it was already broken. I reinstalled the original gearbox, so the car moves, but now I’m stuck. I can't track down the correct gearbox ratios or exact code. The Audi dealership won't provide details unless I buy from them at an extremely high price. All I know is that the sticker in my boot lists the code as LDQ, but when I try to buy one, they insist I need the exact ratios to match. I have no idea how to confirm this before buying a used or reconditioned gearbox. I’ve uploaded pictures that show the car is in quite good condition; the previous owner looked after it well, and I’ve done some maintenance myself to keep it in a good standard. Unfortunately, this gearbox issue is putting me in a limbo—whether I should scrap the car, which I really don’t want to do, unless I can find an economical solution to fix this problem. Hopefully, someone here could help me or guide me in the right direction. I would hate to get rid of this car, as the condition is quite good. The mileage is only 111,000, which I’m told is not much for a car like this, and I bought it to transport. a disabled person and there wheel chair about, many thanks for your time and advice
