  2. The cigarette lighter has stopped working and I am struggling to locate the fuse. It's a 2017 A1 1.4TFSi. The manual suggests the fuse is a 20A fuse located in the end of the dashboard (RHD drivers side). When looking at where this fuse should be there is no fuse there and no wiring going to where it is stated it should be. Any body else had this problem and knows where the fuse is located please? photo shows the fuses. should be a 20A fuse below the 40A fuse (position no.3) Thanks Rob

  4. Thanks for the information Steve. I will give it a go.
  5. Hi, the passenger footwell on my Audi TTS MK2 is absolutely soaking. I have checked the drains beside the windscreen wipers and they are clear. Could this be a problem with the air con? Thanks
  6. Anyone with VCDS can plug in to read the fill level.
  7. So what did the computer genius do? 🤔
  8. Can these hydraulic rams be repaired i.e new seals
  9. Hi A8 2017 I see there are connections in the centre console but don't know what I can do with them. any ideas? Thank you.
  10. Just purchased my A4 Avant MY14, the maps for Europe are downloaded onto the software but no SD card is in the either slot. When going to start navigation, system will say "destination is in the direction shown" (or something along them lines) BUT the map will not show a route or directions, it will hover my curser over Greenland of all places. and when I move the curser to the UK it still wont show. its like it knows the destination but wont show me the route. DAB and normal radio and telephone working fine so I don't think its antenna but might be wrong. Please let me know your thoughts as its baffled us.
  11. Hi All Am hoping you maybe able to help me. I have to repalce the LEDs on my Headlight as the current ones have failed. The garage Im using has tried to source some new ones, but have been unable to match the colour. Does anyone know where I maybe able to get the healight repaired ?
  12. Hi only Audi can supply the update/new card hence the price, Waze is good until it meets the M25 in rush hour,LOL
  13. Thanks - I've not been able to find the map update - so I use the Waze app on my iPhone with apple carplay as mentioned - it's very good. Gives great route guidance as well as any "issues" (eg speed cameras) on the way to destination. Re-Routing too. In my experience its accurate within a few minutes on a trip of 3-4 hours. Ill save the subscription - thanks for the advice! J
  14. Hi the only thing you will be missing is money from your bank account, there is an option to update the maps but there is a fairly hefty charge for that, if you want a really good sat nav buy a Garmin, I did and with free lifetime updates its a no brainer. Steve.
  15. Hi can't see the logic with the recalibration as long as you don't un plug them they will stay in situ as they are not bonded to the screen, try scouting your local wlndscreen suppliers, I have used RAC windscreens numerous times and never had a problem. Steve.
  16. Hi yes as after the car has been running and up to temperature the rubber boost pipes expand and become softer so any splits/bad joints start letting air out, my guess would be a split in any pipe from the turbo down its an easy spot as where the leak is will be oily and without getting yourself caught on anything you can usually feel the air escaping, the other way is get an empty spray bottle and fill it with water and a drop of washing up liquid, shake it up and spray the foam on the hoses, if its leaking you will soon see the foam move. Steve.
  17. Hi, I have a C7 2017 RS6 with MMI - I bought the connect service last year and now its expired. Honestly, I don't see what is not working - put another way, what does the service provide that my independent data SIM (which works fine) does not? Google maps didn't work anyway and the Audi maps are fairly out of date as well - with no option to update them. Apple carplay is what I use anyway, with Waze. Am I missing something? Thanks J ps: I live in Greece
  18. Hi, I've got a crack in the windscreen of my 2012 S8 and my local Audi Main Dealer just told me that they don't replace windscreens and couldn't even give me a price on a replacement windscreen. I'm a bit concerned about handing it over to someone like Autoglass as I know there are a lot of cameras and sensors in the windscreen for the automatic braking and the adaptive cruise control and they will need ere-calibrating after a windscreen swap. Also, I had bad experiences with Autoglass on two vehicles that I owned in the past. I live up in the highlands of Scotland which makes things even more 'interesting'. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? TIA,
  19. Thanks. That's really good for a 40 TFSI. I typically get between low 50's and low 60's depending on how and where I drive. I have had 75mpg on a good run. With the fuel tank being quite a bit smaller than the petrol, I calculated how much it would cost vs petrol for a full tank from empty and then topping it up by a further 14 litres for the same amount of fuel as the petrol car can hold. So petrol would cost £79.38 and diesel £83.16. A conservative estimate for miles from a full tank vs a 35 TFSI, and being slightly biased towards the petrol with the estimate, sees 513 miles from the diesel vs 432 from the petrol.
  20. Will certainly look into that Gareth....I'm sure we're not the only forums to have members ghost the site once they have read the response. Also, wonder whether many members use the email to register but not always visit their mailbox to check for responses
  21. Many thanks Trevor, I just wonder whether it’s now time to remove the option of receiving e-mail alerts when threads started by the posters are replied to- just making it automatic that they do. That will remove the excuse ‘….I haven’t returned to the forum because I didn’t know there had been any responses..’ Food for thought? Kind regards, Gareth.
  22. So, have the responses to dare been of any help to you Dave?

  24. Hey @jonnnnny how did you get it fixed in the end? A delete or new parts? My A4 B9 is currently sitting at 70m no restart and been quoted £395 to delete -still in two minds whether to have it properly looked at and potentially end up with a bill of £2k+ for new parts.
  25. On a good run including a good chunk of motorway and country lane driving, before back into the city my 40 TFSI can get 45mpg. That same route with more traffic in places and a heavier foot in others still is almost 40 mpg. In traffic at crawling speed which we suffer often, it can be below 20 on a short drive. What are you getting?
  26. Don't really want to change the hub, ideally I want bolt on kits for now.... Seen someone say some Porsche brakes bolt straight on Is this true??
