  2. Hello Sarah, Sorry to hear of your issue. I think that if it were mine, I would be getting the car inspected by a trusted local auto electrician - they should be better versed in such issues than a local garage. As a matter of interest:- Is it a manual? If so, do you need to depress the clutch pedal or similar to normally start the car? Make of newly replaced battery? Regards, Gareth.
  3. Today
  4. Hi. I'm sorry we were unable to help. Regards, Dan.
  5. You're welcome please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  6. thank you! i took a read through and im not getting any error notifications just the not cranking issue. i will ask for them to look for corrosion actually thats a good idea. thank you!! so so appreciative 🙂
  7. Not sure if these threads will help: https://forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/vacuum-routing-refresher.257619/ https://forums.tdiclub.com/index.php?threads/volkswagen-tdi-alh-vacuum-diagrams-stock-modified.290286/ https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/656655-Vacuum-Hose-Routing-Diagram https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a8-s8-d3-platform-discussion-60/need-vacuum-hose-diagram-2784211/
  8. As Cliff says plus it's a money making racquet
  9. I wonder if this is a fault with the instrument cluster. You can send it off for an assessment and repair. Repairs usually are around £200-£300
  10. Thank you appreciate it
  11. Darn. I'll take another look online to see what more I can find 🙂
  12. Can’t seem to find anything on google about where it is on same engine bay as mine and tried to look in same place as diagram and don’t think it’s there
  13. I’m not sure the diagram is the same as my engine
  14. No you should be able to I think. I think it'll depend if it has canbus which was first introduced either in 2003 or 2004. My A6 is pre canbus so it's slightly harder due to the system not being as complex as later ones. But either way a competent mechanic should be able to diagnose it.
  15. Thanks Steve, I have heard that about batteries. I will start with a diagnostic check first. I just thought my car might be too old for this to be part of the diagnosis checks.
  16. I have been searching for a while trying to find the paint code for my alloys on A4 B9 (picture below), can anyone point me in the right direction where to find the paint code? Thanks Mark
  17. This will depend on spec but there were changes to the headlights, rear lights and safety systems
  18. Id recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the window switch. Or bizarrely it might be worth checking the battery to make sure it's working efficiently as a failing battery can throw up unusual electrical gremlins
  19. Just checked similar threads. I member had a similar issue with there A1 and the positive terminal had corrosion which was stopping it from starting properly:
  20. Hi MiguelP, I would state to the dealer that it must be rectified before your extended warranty expires. Mine must have been an electrical ‘glitch’ because the only thing Audi Oldham did was to plug it into the diagnostic. Hope you get it resolved. Regards, Andrew
  21. If I leave the windows down without any power for while, when I select them all to the closed position, the drivers door window fully closes, but then opens without being selected to about 1/3 of the way down. It will do this until I select open and closed but hold the switch in those positions for around 10 seconds. Even then, it may not stay closed until a few re-sets have been completed. Any thoughts anyone?
  22. I was hoping to find an amiable car upholstery firm that might do the fitting, but so far it's a no! Mainly because they have never done this type of repair.
  23. Hi, Can anyone tell me when the facelift model's came in please ?
  24. the solenoid hasnt been mentioned yet actually now i think back- would that still be an issue if i change the entire starter motor? thank you!
  25. sorry if this isnt the answer youre looking for im hopeless with cars, its a 1.2? it has around 50,000 miles thanks!
  26. Sorry, posted this and I've been driving to south of france over last few days with no Internet. Never thought to see if I'd had a reply.... its had an offer on Ebay for just over £200 can't remove from listing now as there's an offer on it. Cheers paul
  27. Hello. Thank you for your reply. Although the problem is the same, the origin must be different, since the car always gives an EVAP system error, and I never turned off the intelligent coasting system. Tomorrow it will go back to the garage. Let's see what the "project" for a solution is this time. Luckily, I bought an extended warranty when I bought the car, so I still have the warranty until October 2026. I hope that is enough time for the Audi technicians to find a solution... Best regards
