Looking for best Audi A4 cabriolet auto
Richardracer replied to Richardracer's topic in Audi Cars for Sale and Wanted
Hi everyone, I do not have a specific budget, but am just starting down this road. I have looked at prices on Autotrader, EBay and on here to get some ideas. I would guess £3k to £5k but let’s see what is out there please. -

It's a common fault in many Audi models.

Hi Pipe I think is about 38mm. Have found this on ebay 296994527233 The seller does'nt know what its made from and not interested in finding out (strange man) For £40 one would think metal of some sort as the plastic ones are about a tenner

It is getting increasingly difficult to help you Gerry. Any reason why you can’t post a copy of what you have?

Budget Richard? -
Um. Not an adjective I would associate with a classic car club.

Absolutely. So my wife moved from an an A2 to a BMW i3 (perfect upgrade), if the A2 owners are evangelical, then i3 owners are like missionaries like Jack Hawkins in Zulu. I mean that in a light hearted way. They love their cars and are fiercely defensive of the marque/brand.

Yes it was, but I could only see the damaged wires once I pulled all the wires back through the door.

Hello fellow enthusiasts, we are looking for the nicest Audi A4 cabriolet with auto transmission as a long term keeper. No white or shouty colours please. Full service history and immaculate condition is what we would like. Ideally within 50 miles of Nottingham/Lincoln. what have you got which you might be willing to sell? -

Was that damage within the rubber bellows between door and frame? If not, where was it?
-
I need to know what too, but the print out is vague
-
Thanks Doug, I have emailed the letter directly to Audi UK, but as you went through your local dealer and they honoured it I think i'll also send them one for good measure. Thanks

So glad you got sorted 🙂

Thanks Gareth, You're spot on. The replacement window motor didn't solve the problem. However I decided to have a closer look and the wiring loom and found two wires with splits in the plastic coating. I repaired these with insulating tape and it's fixed!
