How many types of yellow?

Featured Replies

Looking to buy an A3, im liking the look of the yellow ones but some of them look different than others.

Is theres different types of yellow on an a3? or are some just in a need of a good polish? (do  they polish out well?)

Thanks

Hi Konrad and welcome.

Yes Audi do a few different types of yellow for its A3. Not all of the shades pass through the different A3 versions though. For example the newest A3 does not offer Tucan yellow as a standard colour, this was offered as a free option on the early mk2 A3. Vagas yellow is now a standard colour on the lastest A3.

So if memory serves the mk1 A3 has one standard yellow found on the S3,    Mk2 has 2 standard yellows   And the latest has just vagas yellow. My personal favourite is Tucan though.

So I owned a mk2 A3 in Tucan yellow and it polished up really nicely. Always had nice comments from strangers about its colour so I wouldn't hesitate in getting your motor.

 Hope this help 👍

Welcome to the forum Konrad, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

Adam is spot on about his info on Audi yellows :) and like Adam, tucan yellow is my favorite Audi yellow :)

Cheers

Steve

Yeah thanks Steve.

If I remember I will try post a photo of that car. Need to ask my bro in law to send me the photos he took of her. So want her back too.

Tucan yellow is a "power yellow" and a light colour to my eye. I've seen many other shades and that one in my opinion is the best shade.

Power should read powder lol
