im busy with a little project, as my Audi came on original rims 16” I finally found a set of 18” witch I’m busy refurbishing, so far iw got that far as sanding down all the old clear coat and bit more , will start on curb damage tomorrow, ordered the tech primer meenwhile !!! The original idea was to paint them black but now I’m not too shore if the colour,

please feel free to advise what colour would go best or better ???

Hey Andris, good wheel upgrade :) buy you've got you're work cut out.

What colour is your a4? Black wheels will go with nearly any colour except black or blue in my opinion.

my car is silver colour all round !!! 

Also later thinking of wrapping all the silly grey plastics around the car in Black if I go with black rims ?!?!?! In a photo them grey parts at the bottom of the car look black but they really grey!!!

 have you considered two tone silver and gun metal grey? Cavities being grey.

I like the sound of it!!! Just bit worried I’ll mess it up that way??? 

What is the cavity ??? Sounds daft but I’m not too shore if that is the part I think of ???

Yes the cavities are shown in (1) so you have 5. The arms being (2)

 I think they are painted in two stages. First being silver. After drying mask the areas off and paint grey

 

Thanx guys, I’m still gonna think of colour/s for the rims since I only work in them when I’m off !!! Will be a little time before I get to the colours!!! I’m planing on filling the curb rush and make them look 99.9% as new!!! ( no rush) !!! Keep posting Ideas, thanx in advance !!! 

Think black will.look.good :) the lower grey trim on the sills and bumper can be painted the same colour as the car to smarten it up :) 

I never thought of the silver for the trim!!! Will look in to it !

You're welcome :) that's what I've had done on my bumpers

got to be black satin maybe flat or maybe gunmetal with gloss laquer

This colour, gun metal or anthracite whichever they call it, would be my choice as it will look classy, personally I think the whole black wheel thing has been done to death and just looks 'chavvy' but perhaps that's just me.
