Flashing glowplug light

Featured Replies

Hi all yesteday driving to work the glow plug light came on and atarted flashing also the spf logo has come up any ideas on hoe to fix thos as car is in limp mode and need fixing on the cheap

Hi Martin,

My first advice would be to get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up as a flashing glow plug light could be caused by various things.

I do know that the B7 was subject to a recall for the injectors and it might be worth to see if there is a recall outstanding on your car or whether it's been done.

The light flashing could also be due to the turbo under or over boosting which can be caused by the turbo pressure sensor failing. Or even the dpf sensor failing.

One thing I would advise I'd that audis and other German cars don't like being fixed on the cheap as this can cause even more issues later on. I'd advise fix it properly and then you reduced the risk of it going again in the near future.

Hope I've helped.

Cheers

Steve
