ENGINE REBUILT... KILL ME!!

Featured Replies

Iv recently had my engine rebuilt on my a4 avant b7 2.0 tfsi as the oil pump failed I got 12 months warranty with the company that I took it too... On the way home the oil pressure light came on again pulled over rang the company up and they assured me nothing could be wrong... Any way now iv got home I'm starting to hear a rattle and I thought it was the engine but iv come to realise the noise goes away when the clutch is pressed..the car never made this noise before it went to have the engine reconned so will my warranty from the engine cover this or am I going to have my pants down

Hi Liam,

I'd take it back to the garage to see what fault they find. Even though it feels like the clutch system it maybe the engine in which case you're covered.

Cheers

Steve

If it goes away on pressing the clutch could it be the clutch release bearing?
