tomahawk
Hi I will be driving in France next month and by law I need to have some snow chains. I have 2018 Q7. The manual highlights that 'for technical reasons snow chains may only be used on tyres with certain wheel / rim / tyre combinations'. The manual lists 255/60, 255/55 and 255/50. It also says chains must have fine pitch links which do not protrude more than 13.5mm. My tyres are 285/45/r20. There are a few websites which hire chains for this tyre size but I wondered whether I risk damaging the car if I try / need to use them. Does anybody have any advice? Thanks T
Steve Q
My advice would be to speak to your local Audi dealer. I suspect that as a worse case scenario you could damage the Quattro system if you haven't followed the manuals advice. Cheers Steve
