Hi all, I have a 2007 A4 3.0 tdi quattro s-line and have a problem with the turbo, sometimes the turbo doesnt kick in and it wont go over 2500 revs but no eml. Other times the light does come on. And sometimes i have the light on but the car is running fine. It can change whilest driving.

It might be worth you getting the turbo checked. When my sister had a similar issue on her golf it transpired that sone if the blades within the turbo had broken and as such the fan within the turbo wasn't always spinning which was causing the lag/hesitation. 

In order to resolve the issue she had to have a new turbo fitted.

cheers for advice Steve just hoping its not that as they are not cheap.

If it is the turbo there's a guy on vag planet on Facebook that refurbs turbo's.
