2000 A4 alarm

Hi all

I have a A4 that has a alarm issue , keeps going off but only the lights and not the siren.

Not fussed about a alarm so the question is can I just disconnect the unit and will the car still start and run etc

Is this the ajpam that you replace because the batteries die ?  It occasionally makes a quiet chirp

Could be a faulty alarm control module. I wouldn't advise disconnecting it incase it's connected to the imobiliser.

 My advice would be to get an auto electrician to take a look.

Hi Kev the siren/horn for the alarm is under the o/s side trim in the boot, also from my dodgey memory it has a back up battery which will make for the quite-ness.

CHEERS I HAVE SAME PROBLEM  lights go off    i can delet it any way  but like things  stock     here is pic of mine at mo

yip been off and on about 9 times with me forgeting  were al  fits  lol  am old     i used to take pics of them before   stripping them  not with this one  got all boxed up and forgot root wires

it is the pain i am in for the week  with fixing stuff    not  young spud  now  

yip  to right 

all boxed up  just need headlights and bumper  fitted      and them stupid !Removed! spring clips fitted on radiator pipes   ebay slow 

yip they will have  but 5 quid for one clip is shocking  

so how much would audi  charge     lol  

bit more done just need number plate on  and bumper  plastics
