Reset service due

Just serviced my 2008 a3 managed to reset the oil service but I am still getting the service due warning on the dash can I reset this as well or does it need plugging in to do this?

Tried this today but no joy, when i follow this i can reset the oil service but not the main service warning. 

When i pull and hold the dial it flicks to the oil service and resets this only not sure what i am doing wrong. 

It is a 2008 A3 2.0 TDI dahs looks the same except i get a message on the display saying service due not just service like the video above

i think from the other research i have done it may need to be reset on a VCDS system although i have seen A3's being reset on some you tube videos wouldn't normally both me but i am looking to sell the car

I'm thinking you're right, ironically mine just came on despite the car just being serviced and the garage had to plug it in.

Does it need a VAGCOM system or will any system reset it ?
