Cleaning Cup Holders

Featured Replies

Hi

I am fairly new to my Q5 2019; and went to remove the rubber mat at the bottom of the front cup holders;

there is a key symbol on it; couldnt find any ref in handbook and wondered what is was for before I yank the mat out to clean.

Any thoughts?

Many thanks

As I suspect your q5 is keyless, the key symbol is where you place your key if for any reason the key fails to talk to the cars imobiliser. Putting the key there allows for the strongest signal between key and car. Mainly applicable when the key fob batteries start to fail etc.

Cheers

Steve
