Hello everyone.

I just purchased my 1st Audi, it is a 2007 A6 C6 2.0T FSI.

The car came with an Audio CD changer, I have tried to replace it with the facelift mp3 player, coded it at Audi service center but the unit did not play any mp3 files.

I have contacted Audi and they said my car will not play mp3 no matter what..

Anyone have any possibill workaround solution?

Much appreciated..

I'm sure you need more than just the head unit I'm surprised Audi didn't say what else it needed or why it wasn't working. I'd be taking it back to Audi for them to sort this.

The MMI version is not supporting the mp3 file format, someone told me I need to upgrade the MMI version to the next level of the facelift 2009 onwards

Likely you would need the whole MMI upgrade, screen, center console, multiple control units, along with other module firmware upgrades to support the new hardware. Not an easy job i think.

Do you have/can fit an aux port, might be easier to do that and use a mp3 player or bluetooth adapter to get your music

I checked the upgrade kit on eBay ...it is crazy 800 euros..

Unfortunately there is no way to install an AUX

Thanks for your support
