A7 272 Facelift 2014 - Engine Oil Leak @54k

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has ever come across an oil leak on their 3.0TDI A7 272ps. Its very small but at 54K on the clock I'm very worried. No1 I have no warranty left. So Stealers don't care, they just want to charge me to diagnose.

Iv had independent garage take a look and they have diagnosed front timing cover gasket. So yes had that changed. And its still leaking.
Mech advised me if gasket doesn't fix it then basically engine needs pulling apart and re-sealing from where they leak is coming from.

Has anyone else had this problem or isit just me with this horrible luck ?

Hi, I have just got exactly the same issue £53k miles 4 years old, same engine.. Was it an engine out job in the end and what kind of costs were involved.

Many thanks.

I have changed oil and after driving the car for 500 km the oil check is displaying almost half the oil so I Checked this with an independent Audi maintenance center and according to him its normal since the oil check sensors are sensitive...I am not sure about this explanation and had requested a manual oil check dip stick to make sure....Furthermore, the drive seems to be really smooth and there is no sign of leakage...

Is it s a sensor problem or maybe there is some internal leakage which needs to be resealed....Please advise..

My car is A7 2014 TFSI 3.0 2014 with 61000 km...

It seems familiar to me . Right now I have a leak in same place , looks similar like mine . Could you tell me what caused your oil leak ? and have you fixed it ?

Regards,

Seb
