Frameless door/window issues in winter

Hi, I just recently bought an Audi A5 Sportback 2017 & looking for advice please on how to solve an issue with my windows frosting & not opening even after a 10 min drive with the heating on. When I do try & open them from the door panel, you can hear the window motor trying to kick but they maybe only come down 1-2mm. But then when you try & put them back up they don't move, so you are left with a very slight gap at the top. (This leads to my windscreen frosting over on the inside which takes a good while to defrost). When you open the doors on the A5, the windows usually drop slightly & will raise to the fully up position when closed but this isn't happening as a result of this. This then led to my alarm going off during the night which was very frustrating-it may have detected that the door wasn't closed properly? When I entered the car & tried to close the door it wouldn't shut properly as if the lock was in a semi open/closed position. I opened the door via the inside handle & tried to close the door but it still wasn't closing fully. I googled it & an online thread said the door won't close properly unless the window is up fully but I find this strange as surely you can close the door in the summer when the window is down? I guess I can buy a silicone spray & some de-icer but I would've thought todays modern cars would defrost the window seal via the side air con/heating vents and solve the issue before having to use chemical sprays etc. (You may ask why do I need the windows down in the winter, but it's because I need to scan my security pass at the barrier when I get to my work). Thanks in advance for any assistance. Andy
