NMcLean77
A quick call to an Audi garage asking for a quote will get you the price, and they will be able to advise if a replacement has been done on their system.
SRVO
Not sure about the water pump price, but Audi recently quoted me £595 for the cambelt replacement on my 2013 Q5 2.0 TDI.
Steve Q
£500-£600 is about right for a cambelt and water pump change.

Magnet
Hello Gerry, Independents can often be as expensive as the main dealer, particularly where dealers have promotion on such work - as they do. ‘Official’ independents usually use only VAG parts, so that will be fine if that is the case. Local garages tend to use whatever brand of parts they can obtain at best prices from their local supplying factors, and in my book, the quality of the parts used is of vital importance - particularly in respect of water pumps, where my choice is always main dealer only, with no exceptions. Kind regards, Gareth.

Magnet
Hello Stewart, Since it was close to £600 2 years ago, then I’m not at all surprised about your current £900 quote. I think we are unfortunately all used to such % increases with most thinks we buy/pay to get done. Kind regards, Gareth.
