hi guys so i brought a audi a3 04  and it has a flat bottom streeing wheel but the controls dont work after weeks of looking i think i found out why i need the module out of a 2006 s3 but my question is does it have to be 2006 s3.

Hi mate 

If your cars factory steering wheel wasn’t a multifunctional steering wheel then the controls won’t work

yes they dont but seen a vid on youtube were the guy changed the module to get them to work 

 

You might need the module coding to the car. But think it can be done. You'll have to make sure the airbag has the same connectors as yours too etc.
