Trying my luck here

I'm a very happy owner of an Audi A6 with 2,8(V6) liter petrol engine from 2012. Lately I've noticed  a thud/bumping with also a small banging noise from the transmission or power delivery, sometimes when slowing down or accelerating (on or off the throttle). This happens even when I'm "gentle" with the power. 

Anyone know what this can be and what the solution is?

Is it manual, or auto? A d what mileage? 

It could be a clutch/duel mass flywheel or engine/gearbox mounts. If it's happening when down shifting it could even be the exhaust knocking on the body. 

Its an automatic gearbox and the milage is 112000km or 69593 miles. If that's the case would you recommend a check up?
