Sat Nav loses Home setting and favourites

Featured Replies

Hi all,

65 plate, A3 Sportback.

The SatNav on my Audi is regularly losing its "Home" setting on the Sat Nav favourites. It keeps telling me I need to set it, yet when I do, it disappears a short while later. Now, 4 of my 5 favourites have also disappeared.

Can anyone please advise what I need to do to resolve this?

Thanks,

Rich

My first advice would be to see if it needs an update to the infotainment system. This isn't the same as sat nav update. Or a diagnostic check. Alternatively you could try and do the system reset which should be in the owners manual.

Thanks @Steve Q. Would I need to take it to a dealership for an update?

Rich

Unfortunately you would but the update should be free. However if you chose to update the sat nav then this will cost you. Also bare in mind Audi will want to probably charge you a £50 diagnostic fee too.

@Steve Q, yes I bet they would 😀.

Thanks for the advice.

No probs at all. I would definitely try and find a system reset video on YouTube as that might solve it.
