Arnott air suspension compressor

Hi all,

Our 2012 sline plus (the beast) has sprung a dreaded air suspension problem. Only purchased in June for 17k and spent a small fortune in diagnostics and fault finding as intermitant fault (amber air ride light and TMSW) flashing up on dash. After replacing left front suspension leg (small air leak at top), relay, level sensor, solenoid it turns out that someone has attempted to sort out the problem previous.

An after market compressor and value were fitted not too well (poor workmanship) and bolts were missing and compressor was not sealed properly and just sat on the tray (not fixed) and pipes not where they should be and the compressor has seem better days even not too old and is shutting down as getting to hot.

Long story short,  dealership (second hand dealer) not taking responsibility but have been advised by our vw/audi specialists recommend OEM or a decent aftermarket compressor if we are keeping it.

Definitely keeping it but wanted to see if anyone has any recommendations or an after market compressor. The guy at our local Audi dealership recommends Arnott. Not cheapest but seem to be the chosen choice for other luxury SUV brands.

Anyone tried and tested their air suspension compressor or any recommendations would be highly recommended.

Thanks

Hi Arnott are very clever in so much as their units carry uprated parts that are normally prone to failure on the O.E. parts fitted, if you get one  its one of those things over time that you can actually see where the extra money went.
