hi thank you very much

i will sort it tomorrow when i get back to my garage

hopefully it will work

once again thank you ,i will let you know how i got on

i phoned my local audi dealer today and spent an hour

on the phone with him ,he cannot find the module

he asked myself did it have a module ?/

i cant see the electronic handbrake working without a module ?

he told me he would ring me back but he did not

so il wait until tomorrow and hopefully il have the module out of my car

and will be able to give him the module number to order a new one

hopefully

cheers paul

No probs at all. Once you find it, my advice would be to source a used one first. As it'll be cheaper and be less money lost if it transpires it's not the module.

Also I'd recommend a diagnostic check.

hi steve ,i checked in the rear of the car and there is no module

or fuse box in the rear ,i asked a friend who would work on these

and he thinks it is below the central console of the car ?

have you heard of this before steve ?

il remove the console in the morning ,but it is strange my local

audi dealer cannot find the module ,i need to get the number of it

even to buy a second hand one as the dealer has been no  help

any more help would be great steve

cheers paul

Hi I would be getting the car scanned for faults, you say that you replaced a calliper but no mention of if you re programmed the new calliper as they are not plug in and play thats why they tell you not to unplug your original calliper as it loses its values.

hi steve the caliper was reset using vcds, the motor on the old one was just winding and not doing

anything ,a new caliper with motor sorted that out ,but i am getting the fault code on vcds telling me

incorrect data from handbrake module ,the module is hardly incorporated in the abs module as that link maybe suggests ?
