Hi all,

amber gearbox malfunction light, clears on restarting the car. Clutch 1 and 2 slip fault codes registered. Not really noticeable whilst driving. £2.5k cheapest quote for a gearbox rebuild etc to rectify it. Is that the only option or does anyone have a cheaper remedy?

If it's a manual that sounds expensive. Even if the duel mass flywheel has to be changed at the same time. 

If it's auto then it'll be a torque converter or a fault with gearbox itself.
