Sunshinesnoopy
Hiya, does anybody know if I have to reset the alarm/mobiliser when you put a new battery on. It’s an Audi A4 sline 2 l tdi convertible . Much appreciated . Also can manually lock ok. Thanks
Steve Q
The battery might need coding to the car. Once coded it should allow all systems to operate normally
Sunshinesnoopy
Hiya Steve, all sorted , I googled it in the end. I thought the battery would improve how long the engine takes to start but it hasn’t! The old one is only 2 years old ! bit !Removed! off …. Steve Q
That's not good! The average life of a battery is 5-7 years. Most come with a 3 year warranty. So might be worth seeing if you van get a refund on the current one.

Magnet
Thanks Ann, Your experience will probably be of benefit to others longer term. As a matter of interest, what make of battery did you buy as your replacement, and what was the make of the battery that you renewed after 2 year’s service? Kind regards, Gareth. Sunshinesnoopy
Hiya , uploaded images but it may be a glow plug problem but Rac said a few weeks back that glow plugs are still working enough to start it in the cold !
