2013 A7 Timing Chain

Featured Replies

My son bought a 2013 A7 TDi last year but is now off the road.

We've been told it needs a new timing chain.

Anyone got any recommendations for a garage in the Preston area that'll take on the job.

We then want to shift the car on.

Thanks Steve.

I think he may have been stung...unfortunately.

Gutted for him. Is it worth him keeping the car after the job has been done so he gets the benefit from it? Or trade it in as is?

I'm struggling to find anywhere that will take the job on at all.

So at the moment, leaning towards trading in as is.

I had mine done six months ago on a 2015 car, an independent did it but it was still nearly a £4k bill, luckily for me it was under warranty.

Not much help to you other than an idea of the cost.
