Hi what is the most reliable audi a8 d4 ,        i am talking about face lift engines only, should i pick diesel or petrol i dont want to go to issues and repairs soon , so i dont want problematic engines , please tell me what is the best most reliable engine for d4 face lift?

 And what issues i can expect from it or from other engines...

 

The question what s, how many miles do you do a year and what kind of miles. If it's low miles mainly around town then avoid diesel as you'll just end up with blocked egr or dpfs.

hi i do around 20k miles per year.

they are mixed i can say most are in town.

If most are in town then I think you'd be better with petrol to be honest. Regardless of engine make sure the gearbox has been serviced on time and that the tyres match/say tread as uneven tyre wear can damage the quattro system.  

So whats the best petrol engine which i need to search for :)?

W12 is reliable and smooth but very thirsty.
