Audi S5 B9 Gear Change Issues & Oil On Oil Cap

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I’ve been having an issue with my S5 B9 and was wondering if anyone has heard of this happening or what it could be.

When driving in eco or comfort and changing from 2nd to 3rd the rpms will drop and rise once or twice before the gear change. It is really odd, it’s like the car is almost hesitating changing gear. This only happens around the 1.8k - 2k rpms zone. There is no shaking or anything like that. I don’t experience this in sport at all.

I’ve uploaded a YouTube short of the issue,

Anyone know what it could be? Can’t be the transmission as the other gear changes are flawless.

I also have oil on top of my oil cap, a breather pipe for the crankcase was replaced but it looks like it hasn’t fixed it. Anyone experienced this?

Thanks
