Potental Fuel Pump Failure

Audi took my 2010 R8 in for a service and MOT which is passed (has 22k on the clock).  When they were driving it back the engine cut out and they could not get it started again - 5 miles from where they had just recently serviced it.  Audi are stating it could be that the fuel pump has failed or the live feeds to it but will have to remove the roof which in itself is 14 hours labour before they even start looking at the issue and then repairing it.  Anyone else experienced this issue?  Is this something that could have been done wrong by them when they did the service?  Any advice most appreciated.

Definitely a coincidence. Have they done a diagnostic check, plugging it in to the computer that is?

Might be worth getting the car to another garage for a second opinion. To transport the car you could use Shipley, I've used them and can recommend them.
