Wheel and exhaust challenges

Featured Replies

Hi all - hoping someone on here may be able to offer some advice. I’m having some issues with my 2018 Audi A3 (18k miles, automatic).

1) It seems like my car has a disproportionate amount of white smoke coming out the exhaust. I don’t think it’s condensation, yet I can’t smell a sweet coolant smell from the exhaust. I notice it when I’m idling, even after the car has been running for a while. I’ve also noticed white stains inside the engine compartment (see attached)

2) I think I have a bad wheel bearing. At around 40mph I get this whooping noise off the front right wheel, it gets faster the more I accelerate. My question with this is I’m surprised a wheel bearing has gone after 18k miles, so wondering if it could be that?

thanks for your help!
