Oil check MMI display disappeared after service

Featured Replies

Hi, I have had my S5 4.2 quattro 2009 serviced by my local garage several time but this time the MMI does not show oil level reading on computer, why is this? other than try and buy a dipstick for the car how can I check the oil levels now, apparently it is a common fault with this car. I have contacted my local Audi about this asking to book the car in for help finding why the oil level reading has disappeared off the MMI only to be told they are so busy and can't book me in for 2 months ,but they could book me in for a full service within 2 days !! any help with this would be appreciated. I have also bought a dipstick off Ebay which was supposed to fit my car but it was to long, I have now bought a second one but it has yet to arrive, apparently Audi don't sell a dipstick for the car !! I just cant drive my car around not being able to check the oil levels, any advice please .

Yes I am trying to get it booked in, waiting for a call back on Tuesday to see when I can take it in. Thank you for your reply, I just want to know if it can be fixed and why it has done this .

Hi its probably the oil level sensor in the sump, not expensive unless you buy it from Audi and an easy job to do.
