Oil pump failed + replacement engine

oil pump failed so I've had a replacement engine (not a 170BHP), although the diesel injectors from the 170BHP have been used.

the car starts up and will tick over quite happily, but when taken out for a run it initially goes very well but then the engine cuts out. there are no faults shown on the ODB2 read out. everything we can think of has been changed or checked i.e. the injectors, the fuel pump, but the fault continues.

does anyone have any ideas as to what the fault may be?
