Xenon headlight retrofit

Featured Replies

Hi, wondering if anyone can help, I have a 2012 Audi A1 1.6tdi with the standard halogen headlights, however one of my headlights is cracked and the drl is flickering so I'm looking at replacing. I may aswell get xenons if I'm paying 120-140 per headlight for a halogen. I've bought a complete set ballasts, heat sinks, everything. I can't just plug these in and expect them to work and I suspect I'd have to code them on. Has anyone done this and if so, what did you use and how did you do it? I've coded cars before but never audi, I haven't plugged the lights in yet but I'd appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.

Yep theyll need coding. You'll also need front washer jets for the headlights as I believe it's compulsory with xenon's. So youll need to order the parts for that too.
