A6 C7 rear parking sensor speaker

Featured Replies

Just stripped out all the passenger side rear boot panels only to find the “passenger side” location is for the LHD model 🤦🏻‍♂️ so it’s drivers side UK.

hope that saves people some time 👍

Hi Les,

from memory I think the parking assist light flashes instead of constant and a I received a permanent beep when putting it into reverse.

I ordered a replacement speaker from eBay for a few quid (Parking Sensor Warning Buzzer Speaker Buzzer 8E0919279)

Then it really is as simple as unplug the old one and plug in the new one. I

The speaker wasn’t fixed to anything on mine, it’s just sitting loose behind the driver side rear seatbelt cover.

I’m sure there is a few YouTube tutorials on how to remove the plastic coverings but I don’t remember it being too challenging.
Good luck 🤞

My Audi A6 2007 has just developed this fault. In the process of ordering a buzzer from eBay ( £6 ish ). I’ll update the forum when I have a go at it. 👍

Hi Lloydj , did you need to remove seatbelt bolster as well as seatbelt cover ?

Hi, I don’t think I did but I noticed you said you’re working on a C6 generation so it might differ slightly, good luck

It’s a 2007 A6 saloon 3.0 TDI Quattro ? Unsure about c6 / c7 ? Apologies for my ignorance !
Just checked, it is a c6. Seatbelt cover looks very similar to your pic. 🤞🤞

Hope this helps.

Yours is a C6  I believe models (2007-2011)

then C7 Is (2012-2018)

👍

Thank you. 👍

You were right Lloyd, there is a difference to the seatbelt cover on my c6. Whereas yours has a rounded edge on the seat side, mine has a lip which fits under the rear shelf. There’s minimum flex in the cover and I was unable to pry the lip out and hopefully pop out the rest of the cover without damaging or breaking it. Looks like the only way to get at the buzzer is remove part of boot lining, parcel shelf etc.. Too big a job for me I think. Only consolation is the buzzer is still working in a fashion, i.e volume reduces to almost nothing the longer I’m reversing.  I appreciate your advice mate. Thanks.
