Hi all,

New here but just wanted to advice. 

My MMI sat nav maps stopped working it is showing different errors each time about the "data medium". After doing some research I think the disk is damaged as it wont read it and makes a buzzing noise when trying to read it. I also cannot eject the disk as I know audi disabled the eject feature to stop people stealing them.

I am looking to buy a new Data medium and basically want to ask will a 2023 SD card be compatible with my model or do I need to get the same disk as I have now? Its an Audi a4 Technik 2012 which I belive had MMI 3g? and will I need to take it to a garage to get the disk out for the SD card version to work?

Thanks in advance for any help!
