Mmi control not working

My audi a3 8y mmi control isnt working. It doesn’t light up and none of the buttons work. It wont turn the mmi on or off even if i hold it for 20 seconds for a reset and it doesn’t do anything with the volume or changing the music. It wont even light up when the car is on. 
Will an obd reader show what is up or should i try to locate and reset the fuse ?
