Hi,

I have a 2010 Audi a5 3.0 dci Quattro convertible, for the last 3 months the soft top has not worked. Later the boot was not working so I had to use the key to open it. Today the soft top started to work,  although I haven’t done anything,and also the boot opened as normal.

Can anyone explain what has happened. I know I’ve had problems with the electric seats due to water entering the floor area. Which as far as I know has been resolved by the mechanics although he says he is sure there is still water under the floor.

I believe there may be a connection between the soft top and the boot lock, does anyone think it may be e relay connection ,or something else.

Any help would be appreciated,

If there's still water under the carpets then this could be damaging the comfort control module. 

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
