A4 B9 Avant - Towbar won't release

Featured Replies

Dear All!

Seeking info and help on this "mysterious" problem.

- Towbar won't release when button (left side compartment wall) is pressed

- No lights lit (in luggage compartment)  when opening deck lid

- Compartment Cover will not move

It seems to be that the above 3 issues can relate, could be related to same root-cause?

This should be mentioned:

The deck lid locked have struggled a bit, but got it to work after some lubricants.

I have tried to locate a broken fuse, but (from what I can see) there's no broken fuse, that said the manual is not easy to read so I can have missed it.

All ideas appreciated!

It's like the Towbar, lights and cover its not aware of that the tailgate is opened.

Problem resolved. I replace the tailgate lock. My conclusion is that the lock did not "signal" door open and this causes the towbar to not release etc....
