Hi all! Has anyone seen their reverse camera intermittently displaying a mainly blue screen when going into reverse. Called Audi, who said there are no recalls around the issue, though see that US Audi say there was a similar issue:

https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/car-recalls-defects/audi-recalls-cars-and-suvs-due-to-backup-camera-a1955980215/#:~:text=Audi Recalls Cars and SUVs Due to Concerns About the Backup Camera,-The video feed&text=Volkswagen Group of America has, model years%2C as detailed below.

I have attached a picture I took and wondered if anyone else hit this and what the remedy was.

Thanks!!

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up

Thanks, Steve. Will update once Audi have taken a look in case others hit at some point.

Just to complete this, Audi diagnosed a fault and car is booked in. All I was told was that it was a software fault and that car needs to be in overnight. Cheers

Hi. Just wondering if Audi resolved the camera issue? Mine has been in 4 times over the last 18 months and always not fault found. They had the car for four weeks once. Said they’d updated the software and it worked fine for 3 months.

it’s just frustrating as you never know if it will work or not

then sometimes it’s starts as the blue screen and then after 10 or 15 seconds it’s as it should be

Hiya, just checked my paperwork (should have read it more closely!), but they also noticed a kink in a cable going to the camera. The notes say that when they moved the cable, the camera would come on intermittently. In the end, they replaced the cable to the camera and associated wiring. The camera has worked 100% of the time since. Hope that helps!

Hi. Thanks for the reply. It makes perfect sense as mine my start to work when I open and close the boot or either of the back doors.

I will look into changing the cable
