Hi All

I'd like to change the indicator bulbs in the headlights to LED and also the bulbs in the fog lights to LED

Picture of my light units below .

Has anyone changed the indicator for an orange LED bulb if so what bulb did you get to do the job and the same for the fog lights. I'd ideally like a white that matches the DRL/Xenon so 6000k i think, again has anyone done this if so what did you use ? and did you need to put in inline resistors if so where did you put them

Thanks in advance

Hi the problem with LED bulbs is that when fitted to a standard headlight without projector lenses they murder the light cut off pattern which will fail the MOT, you can get can bus error free LED bulbs but the outcome is the same, they dont give anymore light range despite being brighter because the beam pattern is so random, have a look at Phillips Diamond vision.

Steve.

Its not the main beams in the headlights I want to change its just the indicator bulb the dip/high beam are brilliant.

The LEDs will definitely throw a bulb warning light. Look at osram or Phillips for upgraded bulbs.

Yeah they were on my list but trying to find out what bulb I need ie:- H1 H4 H8 and what resistors would be required.

Hi if you are not changing the dip/main beam you dont have to put in any resistors just buy the the non cheap bulbs with the CANBUS ERROR FREE designation.
