Indicator switch unit

Featured Replies

Hi There,

I have a 1999/2000 Audi A2 which has a failing indicator switch. I’ve tried cleaning it. But there’s no improvement.

I contacted Audi and it appears the switch unit is on perpetual back order. So it looks like there are none available.

I imagine/hope that this switch unit was used in more than one model in the VAG and I wondered if anyone could tell me if it’s the same as another vehicles or there is somewhere I may be able to buy the original item.

it would be such a shame if it can’t be fixed at least for the MOT.

anyway any assistance most gratefully received.

kind regards Paul

Welcome Paul and thanks for joining.

Not available and not repairable, points to most likely outcome of having to find a secondhand one.

Well worth trying EBay - international as well as U.K.

Also register your ‘want’ with on line car breaker link sites such as Partsfinder ( there are more).

Perhaps you could let us know how you get on.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi Gareth,

I think I may have tracked one down on eBay. It’s due to get to me early next week.

the pictures of the part looked very similar to the one I need.

bit of a mare to fit it. I shall get back with the result.

🤞🏻

cheers Paul
