Hi all, new to the community after recently buying a 13 plate A4 Avant. Love the car, hate the stereo !. I have looked around the net and I believe i have an B8 facelift. Square fog lights rather than round. Anyway, I jave a Samsung phone and wish to play my music (Amazon Music) through the stereo. I have been told it wont work with the cars Bluetooth, which i have found to be true and i require a MMI lead. Went to Audi who suggested a 4F0 051 510M and then the required usb adaptors to conect to the phone. In fairness they said it might work and not it would. 

So options... or is there any ? Someone out there must have a wprk around or maybe it just cant be done, so new head unit ?

This is as i imagined a comman gripe/question. I found advice advice elsewhere. For anyone else who having the same issue I bought a bluetooth device off Amazon. It will be the 3rd one i have bought so fingers crossed it works.

Ok so it arrived. All excited... phone paired to it... wont connect to my SamsungS21 Ultra... Aaaaaaaarrrgh.

Happened to bump into another 13 plate avant owner in a carpark and asked him if he has done what i'm after. He said he has a usb charger that plugs into the cigerette lighter with a phone function, so will investigate this further. Not sure how it would work through the speakers but getting to the point where i'll try anything

So this is on going... the cigerette lighter idea did work. It had a fm radio which when progra.med to the same fm frequency on the car radio, music could be played through the cars audio. But it sounded awful.

So.. found a tablet type thingy with android auto etc on it.

I have a '13 facelift and my music plays via Bluetooth using YT Music. Sometimes I have to go into the app and click play on my phone and then the system will catch up. I also have an S21 Ultra for reference.
